Dan Ivanoff

Founder & Managing Member

Schnitzer West Entities

Dan is the founder and managing member of Schnitzer West LLC (formerly Schnitzer Northwest). After founding the company in 1997 with Schnitzer Investment Corp (now MMGL Hold Co LLC.), Dan orchestrated the firm’s rapid expansion to one of the West Coast’s leading real estate investment enterprises, building a mature organization that’s poised for continued success.

Prior to forming Schnitzer West, Dan served as Regional Senior Vice President of Birtcher Northwest. While at Birtcher, he was awarded the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors 1995 Industrial Developer of the Year. Dan previously worked at the Prudential Realty Group in Pleasanton, California, as Investment Manager, Development.

Dan earned his M.B.A in finance, marketing and real estate and M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder with an emphasis in construction management. He also holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Idaho.

In 2010, Dan was honored with Enterprise Seattle’s Economic Development Champion Award. Dan and his wife Laurie have created a new construction management track within the MBA program at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.

Pam Hirsch

Pam leads the Schnitzer West team in aggressively and opportunistically acquiring, developing, repositioning, managing and selling commercial and institutional grade investments. Pam has been with Schnitzer West since its inception in 1997.

During her 27 years with the company, she has worked in every facet of commercial real estate, from development and acquisition to leasing, disposition, and management. She has developed and leased more than 7.2 million square feet of Class A office, suburban office, and industrial real estate and has led and contributed to the successful disposition of more than 6.6 million square feet of Class A office and industrial properties.

Pam holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

Greg MacDiarmid

Greg leads Schnitzer West’s capitalization efforts and directs the company’s finance activities. He partners with the investment teams to source investment capital via joint venture partnerships and debt and takes the lead on negotiating and closing loans and the investment sale process.​

Greg joined Schnitzer West in 2000. Prior to that, he was CFO for Birtcher Real Estate Group in Southern California, where he directed the procurement of debt and equity capital both for real property acquisitions and general working capital. He also served as vice president/asset manager at First Interstate Bank in Los Angeles. During his time in real estate, Greg has sourced more than $7.3 billion of debt and equity, sold $3 billion of real estate and restructured more than $3.4 billion of debt and equity. ​

Greg earned his M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from UCLA in Communication Studies.

Zeb Keck

Senior Director, Construction & Development

Investment & Development

Zeb oversees the team responsible for the entitlement, design and delivery of commercial developments including tenant improvements within the Seattle, Bellevue, and Denver markets. He first joined Schnitzer West in 2007 as an Associate Development Manager focused on Class A office development, design management, construction contract and lease administration, disposition and entitlement closure.

Prior to his current role at Schnitzer West, Zeb was a Project Manager with PCL Construction Services, Inc. He has a broad construction management background with experience in commercial office, multifamily residential, retail, industrial and power generation.

Zeb holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Central Washington University, is LEED GA and Associate DBIA certified.

Erik Fagan

Investment Director

Investment & Development

Erik leads Schnitzer West’s acquisition efforts in the Puget Sound region, including sourcing, negotiations, due diligence and closings. He also has overall investment execution responsibility on certain commercial properties in the region and oversees the development or repositioning design and entitlements, leasing and disposition.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West in 2016, Erik was a sales engineer with Machine Toolworks responsible for the Washington, Oregon and Northern Idaho territories.

Erik holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and a B.B.A. in entrepreneurship and innovations from Gonzaga University.

Ross Cobb

Investment Director

Investment & Development

Ross oversees the acquisition, asset management, and development of certain commercial properties in Puget Sound. He is responsible for analyzing new potential on and off-market acquisitions, working with the development team through design, permitting, and construction of ground-up projects, and leasing and disposition of commercial assets.

Prior to working at Schnitzer West, Ross worked as a law clerk drafting contracts at a Commercial Real Estate law firm while studying for his Juris Doctorate.

Ross holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Montana. After undergrad, he attended Seattle University School of Law to attain a Juris Doctorate and Seattle University Albers Business School to attain an Executive MBA.

Luke Schroeder

Senior Development & Investment Manager

Investment & Development

Luke oversees the entitlements, design, permitting, and execution of certain ground-up development projects in Denver and the Puget Sound markets. Additionally, he is responsible for tenant improvements, major capital projects, and lease administration for certain assets in the Schnitzer West portfolio. He supports the investment team with acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations of commercial assets.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West, Luke was with Power Construction of Chicago, IL, and Saunders of Denver, CO. His experience with these companies provided a broad construction management background in a variety of industries such as healthcare, institutional, multifamily residential, and hospitality.

Luke holds a B.S. in business management from the University of Arizona. He also has his Master’s in construction management from Arizona State University.

Seth Ivanoff

Investment Director

Investment & Development

Seth is responsible for the acquisition, and overall investment execution of certain commercial properties in the Denver metro area. He is specifically responsible for identifying new potential on and off market acquisitions, overseeing the development or repositioning design and entitlements, leasing and disposition.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West full time in 2014, Seth interned with the Asset Services group in Denver.

Seth holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Lucas Schornstein

Investment Director

Investment & Development

Lucas oversees the acquisition, asset management, and development of certain commercial properties in Denver, Colorado. He is responsible for identifying new potential on and off-market acquisitions, working with the development team through design, permitting, and construction of ground-up projects, and leasing and disposition of commercial assets in Denver.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West, he worked in Acquisitions & Asset Management at The Broe Real Estate Group.

Lucas holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado.

Kyle Flippen

Investment Director

Investment & Development

Kyle oversees the acquisition and development of certain assets in Denver market. He is responsible for identifying new potential on and off-market acquisitions, while working with the development team through entitlements, design, construction, leasing, and disposition of certain ground-up development projects in Colorado.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West, Kyle was with a large commercial general contractor. He had oversight of multiple projects in hospitality, multifamily, student housing, office, and institutional health care facilities.

Kyle holds a B.S. in construction management from Colorado State University.

Conner Pettengill

Senior Investment Manager

Investment & Development

Conner oversees the acquisition, asset management, and disposition of multifamily investments in Denver, Colorado. He is responsible for identifying new potential on and off-market acquisitions, working with the development team through design, permitting, and construction of ground-up projects.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West, he worked at Greystar managing the financials of +$1B in develop-to-core strategy funds, before moving onto Partners Group where he was responsible for a $5.4B portfolio made up of 26 CRE investments.

Conner holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maine, as well as a Master’s in Applied Quantitative Finance from the University of Denver.

Jordan Suther

Director, Finance & Capital

Jordan is responsible for the implementation of strategic capital plans, allocation of investment capital, and finance activities across the company’s target markets. He oversees investment analysis, debt and equity strategies/relations and thus far has driven the structuring and raising of more than $2 billion in commercial real estate capitalization.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West in 2017, Jordan worked in real estate construction lending at HomeStreet Bank in Seattle and real estate portfolio analysis at Axos Bank in San Diego.

Jordan holds a B.S. in business administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Seattle University and a certificate in commercial real estate development from the University of Washington.

Andrew Garrison

Senior Investment Manager

Andrew leads the technical analysis of Schnitzer West’s capitalization efforts and helps oversee management of the company’s investment capital. He is involved in structuring and raising debt and equity for investments across the company’s target markets and supports the investment teams in financial analysis of individual assets.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West in early 2022, Andrew worked in investment management for Victory Capital Management in Denver, Colorado.

Andrew earned his M.B.A. from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and a B.A. from Occidental College in International Relations and Economics.

Sarah Morris

General Manager, Portfolio

Asset Services

Sarah leads the Asset Services teams in the Puget Sound and Denver Region. She is responsible for the performance of the portfolio of Schnitzer West owned and third-party managed commercial office properties, client relations, staffing and business development.

Sarah joined Schnitzer West in June 2008, initially working with the multifamily development team in Seattle. Over her sixteen years with the company, she transitioned to the Asset Services team where she was instrumental in the disposition of 2.6 million SF of office; the opening of 1918 Eighth in Seattle; and the management of Class A office, suburban office and industrial properties.

Sarah holds a B.A. from Washington State University and her Washington State real estate license.

Kristin Fatien

Senior Investment Manager

Asset Services

Kristin is responsible for overseeing operations for a Class A high rise located in Seattle, WA and a Class A suburban office campus located in Bothell, WA. She supports budgeting, financial reporting, and takes lead on construction management on behalf of ownership for capital projects and tenant improvements, as well as managing tenant retention and client services.

During her tenure with the company, she has additionally worked on industrial properties and multiple maintenance districts including the only privately owned FEMA certified levee system in the state of Washington. She has experience with due diligence and transitioning properties.

Kristin holds a B.S. in business administration from Walden University and an active Washington State real estate license.

Brandon Gardiner

Senior Investment Manager

Asset Services

Brandon is responsible for the operational oversight of 1.2 million square feet of commercial office in Seattle and Bellevue, WA. Brandon is responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and construction management, while prioritizing the tenant, building owner and client relationship.

Joining Schnitzer West in 2023, Brandon brings 13 years’ experience in managing and overseeing mixed-use commercial buildings in the downtown Seattle market at Unico, CBRE and Hines.

Brandon holds a Master of Science in Building Construction and Facility Management from Georgia Tech, College of Design, and carries an active Washington State real estate license.

Bear Tucker

Senior Investment Manager

Asset Services

Bear oversees 1.2 million square feet of Schnitzer West owned and third-party managed, commercial assets throughout the Denver Metro area. He is responsible for financial reporting and analyses, budgeting, operations and leading the onsite teams.

Bear joined Schnitzer in March 2023 with over 7 years’ experience managing Class A commercial office throughout Colorado and Utah. Most recently he was Director of Property Management at a local firm based out of Utah.

Bear holds a B.S. in General Business from Louisiana State University and has an active Colorado and Utah real estate license.

Tyna Fisher

Director, Accounting & Administration

Accounting & Administration

Tyna leads the accounting and reporting for Schnitzer West and its portfolio of commercial properties. She is also responsible for overall company administration, including human resources and payroll, information technology and risk management.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West in 2017, Tyna worked at Clark Nuber, P.S. a Bellevue-based public accounting firm where she served primarily privately held businesses in a variety of industries, including real estate, construction, retail and professional service firms. She was also responsible for audits, reviews, compilations and consulting.

Tyna holds a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Southern Oregon University. She also has her masters of professional accountancy from Central Washington University and is a licensed certified public accountant.

Kim Andersen

Controller

Accounting & Administration

As Controller of Operating Investments, Kim is responsible for fiscal oversight and compliance for all of Asset Services and accounting oversight for Schnitzer West and its commercial property portfolio. She is also responsible for the supervision of investment accountants, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting and reporting for each entity, and supporting audit and tax functions.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West in 2018, Kim worked for over 15 years at Bentall Kennedy. Her responsibilities included managing the property accounting team, cash management, training, software conversions, corporate accounting, ensuring proper internal controls, timely financial reporting, REIT compliance, and coordinating approval of annual budgets, audits, and tax returns.

​Kim holds a B.A. in accounting from Seattle Pacific University. She also is a licensed certified public accountant.

Gwenna McClease

Assistant Controller

Accounting & Administration

Gwenna is an assistant controller performing accounting oversight and review for the Schnitzer West portfolio of owned and managed commercial properties. She also oversees the accounts receivable and payable sectors of the company’s accounting department.

Prior to joining Schnitzer West in 2018, Gwenna worked as a tax manager in the Bellevue office of Bauer Evans, CPAs P.S., a local public accounting firm. She primarily served individuals and privately held businesses in a variety of industries including real estate, construction, retail, and professional service organizations. Her responsibilities included compilations, reviews, income tax returns, and both financial accounting and tax consulting.

Gwenna holds a B.S. in accounting from Missouri State University and is a licensed certified public accountant.

Amanda Nelson

Assistant Controller

Accounting & Administration

Amanda is an assistant controller performing accounting oversight and review of the Schnitzer West portfolio of corporate and fund entities. She also works closely with the investment capitalization team on equity reporting and investor relations.

Amanda began her career with Schnitzer West in 2002 while working toward her accounting degree. She has worked in a variety of roles beginning in corporate accounting as a clerk processing AP and AR and eventually performing corporate accounting duties. She spent time with the development team where she handled full cycle accounting and reporting, construction draws, and complex reconciliations. Most recently she has taken responsibility for the oversight of corporate and fund accounting, tax, and compliance. Her long career has garnered her unique and extensive knowledge in all facets of Schnitzer West operations.

Amanda holds a B.A. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from The University of Washington. She is also a licensed certified public accountant.

Ken Novack

Fund Investment Strategy & Governance

Ken is the Chairman and CEO of MMGL Hold Co LLC. He has been with MMGL (a successor to Schnitzer Investment Corp.) since 1976 and in that capacity founded Schnitzer West LLC (formerly Schnitzer Northwest) with Dan Ivanoff in 1997. Ken has been closely involved with all of Schnitzer West’s Investments.

Ken served as a member of the board of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. (NASDQ:SCHN) from 1991 – 2015 and served as its Chairman from 2004 – 2009. He was also Chairman and CEO of Lasco Shipping Co. Prior to joining the Schnitzer companies Ken was a partner in the law firm of Ball, Janik & Novack.

Ken currently serves as Chairman of BRIDGE Housing Corp. a leading non profit developer of affordable rental housing in California, Oregon and Washington and serves on the boards of Eisenhower Medical Center, Claremont McKenna College, California College of the Arts, Festival Napa Valley and California Pacific Medical Center.

Ken received a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in 1967 and a J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1970.
